The Templestowe Lower property owned by the builder required an urgent end-to-end light gauge steel solution. The builder had envisioned his own home to be more durable than the regular timber and made the choice to go light gauge steel.
The idea was to convert the plan from timber to light gauge steel, reduce the amount of structural steel present and install the light gauge steel on-site.
Our Solution
At Easy Frames, everything from start to finish happens in-house at our factory located in Sunshine West. The owner builder was one of many clients to witness the benefits of working with an in-house team.
>The process began with the Easy Frames design and engineering team converting the timber plan to light gauge steel while reducing the number of structure steel present.
>The team in the factory then fabricated the light gauge steel including the 1mmthick roof and pozzies, and 1mm - 0.8mm thick walls.
>The fabrication was assessed for quality and once approved swiftly passed onto the delivery and install team
>The plan was executed on site and successfully installed by the Easy Frames team
In total, from start to finish (design, fabricate, deliver, and install) the whole process only took 5 weeks to complete.
